We are pleased to announce that our 2024 Workshop Proposal Application is now live!
We welcome workshop proposals from non-profit professionals, campus administrators, faculty, and teams of service members, but have a special interest in proposals submitted by college students. If you are a campus administrator or faculty member, or work closely with students in other ways, we hope you will strongly encourage your students to apply and share their vital perspectives!
What we look for in a presenter and a proposal:
Being a workshop presenter is a chance to share your extensive knowledge and unique experience with attendees. This can be done by conveying effective strategies and practices, providing resources, sharing research and stories, and inspiring attendees to be agents of social change.
Workshop topics are wide-ranging and we encourage you to apply even if you are unsure how your workshop may fit into the greater conference themes. If you have something to share, we want to know about it!
Some past workshop titles include:
- Addressing Student and Civic Empowerment Through California Assembly Bill 963
- Bikes, buses, and trains: vehicles for social change
- Caring for Yourself while Caring for Others
- Developing a Student Led Diversity Advocacy Group
- Silence is Not Always Golden: Justice at Risk-Averse Institutions
- Stronger Together: How Two Rival Schools Partnered to Serve LA
- Works of heART: How Art Can Unify a Community
- Working Local: Alternatives to Direct Service
Additionally, if you’ve presented in the past, we strongly encourage you to apply again. This year, you will notice we have changed up the session structures to allow for a greater variety of approaches and topics to be featured while creating greater access to a wider range of presenters. To learn more about our sessions be sure to check out our workshops page.
To be considered for the IMPACT Conference, you will need to complete our 2024 Workshop Proposal Application and submit it by the final deadline: October 23rd, 2023 at 11:59PM ET.
We encourage you to submit any questions or set up a consultation meeting by emailing our Workshops Committee at workshops@impactconference.org.
